Digital Tracking by Cohn & Wolfe
Enklet.
Case studies & Best practices
Axe frat house. Axe’s latest campaign from Tunisia involves a Facebook tab, titled ‘Axe Multiple Girlfriends’ – that enables fans to post a relationship status showing that they are dating hundreds of women. Definitely an interesting way to capitalize on a viral concept to reach the male audience.
Beards and Budweiser. In honor of World Environment Day, Budweiser launched the “Grow One. Save a Million” campaign that promotes saving water by not shaving. Budweiser utilizes its Facebook Page as the main campaign portal where male participants over the age of 21 can track the daily ticker and recruit fellow friends.
White House race. As you may remember, President Barack Obama launched a significant social presence in his 2007 presidential race. Republican candidates are now following Obama’s lead and developing a strong digital footprints prior to the 2012 race.
Tools & Trends
Social MD. According to a recent survey from the National Research Corporation, one in every five American’s utilize social media to obtain healthcare information. From seeking out information from hospitals to interacting with doctors – this is a must read for everyone in the Healthcare Practice!
Personalized wire service. With the revolution of digital, journalists are now accustomed to utilizing Twitter as their personal “wire service.” Neal Mann, a journalist from the UK Sky News, experienced firsthand the evolution and impact of social on real-time news.
Social search. Google launched its’ Social Search Feature globally last week, enabling search results to populate in more than 19 different languages. Users are now able to receive search results with personal data from their social sphere.
Digital by the numbers
Success on Facebook beyond the ‘Like.’ As Facebook Pages become a primary marketing tool to reach online audiences – eMarketer released a report that demonstrates that there is more to the success of a Page than the ‘Like’ button. Debra Aho Williamson, eMarketer principal analyst, is quoted as saying, “A brand’s Facebook fan base is only as strong as the effort put into managing it” – a true testament to the importance of an online decision tree.
Social demographics. According to a recent infographic from Advertising Age, female Facebook users spend more time posting about birthdays, sports and cooking, compared to the male audience. How can you utilize this insight to shift your brand’s online editorial content?
